SINK Fulfillment Update!

I've had backers messaging me asking how things are going, so I thought it was about time that I checked in with a progress report.  

Here's where we are...

Fulfillment Update

The team has been hard at work on fulfillment logistics for SINK physical reward backers, and we have an update for you. 

1: Our printer has updated ETA delivery dates for SINK #1 physical books & SINK #1 Glasgow Visitor Kits. These were printed and assembled in Taiwan, and are currently en route to two fulfillment warehouses, one in Chicago and one in the U.K. and expected to arrive on July 10, 2017. 

2: Once they arrive at the fulfillment warehouses, orders will be packed and shipped out to backers direct from those two warehouses, with a few exceptions. So, most backers can expect their pledge rewards in mid-July. 

3: Note, it took a bit longer to work out the logistics on the multiple covers and assembly of the Welcome Kits than expected, hence the slight delay from our original timeline.  However, SINK backers will still get their books many weeks before SINK releases in comic shops (mid-September.) 

4: If you signed up for a premium pledge level that includes an artist edition sketch cover by Alex Cormack, know that those will ship separately and later. Alex will get sketch covers in hand in Mid-July, and start working on them, and will ship them out to backers as he finishes them.  We appreciate your patience, and if you know Alex's work, you know it'll be well worth it.

5: If you pledge for ComixTribe add-ons, many of you may already have received a package of comics and hardcovers, as we started shipping those a few weeks ago. 

6: T-Shirts have been produced and will ship separately from the other pledges, starting later this week.

We'll be releasing more digital extras for SINK subscribers soon, and Alex is making great progress on the next issue.  

In fact, despiting battling a vicious case of the flu, Alex knocked out this cover...

Again, we appreciate your patience as we work through fulfillment. We want to make sure that everything is done right and to the highest standard, and that the packages you receive are worth the wait.

Don't Miss These Projects on Kickstarter

Now that our campaign is over, we've more time to see what else is cool on Kickstarter. 

Collected for the first time in trade paperback, this is a bizarre mashup dubbed "Back to the Future" meets "Inglourious Basterds" ...with pregnant ladies.

And in the last call for a tasty Tart column, Kevin Joseph's demon hunting, time-traveling, aesthetically jaw-dropping special edition of TART #1 is ending later today. 

 

We've been working with our PRINT partners on the four variants and welcome kits and everything is moving ahead.  

Can't wait to get these books in your hands!

Our pal John is recovering from an exhausting (but from all accounts incredible) Emerald City Comic Con, so I wanted to jump on here and talk next steps for SINK fulfillment and answer a few FAQs.

Fulfillment Timeline

Kickstarter Funds Collection (Now - March 15)

As of today, Kickstarter has collected funds from 96% of SINK backers. (19 backers currently have issues with their pledge, which is usually related to an outdated Credit Card.) Kickstarter will try to resolve that issue with you over the next 10 days, so if you're not sure if your pledge went through, just log into your Kickstarter account.  

Kickstarter Funds Released - March 16

Kickstarter funds will be released in 10 days, which will help pay for the print run and get SINK into readers hands all over the world. (Thanks!)

BackerKit Survey Released - March 17

After the Kickstarter funds are released, we'll be sending out a BACKERKIT survey, which will let you confirm your pledge, make sure any ADD-ONs you were looking for are associated with your pledge, and should you be unable to clear up any payment issues with Kickstarter, you'll have another opportunity to fix those through BackerKit. 

Know that your information is 100% secure with BackerKit, and that it helps us better manage the fulfillment side of things and reduces the number of packages that go missing and have to be reshipped. 

Digital Rewards Released - Mid-March

We'll release the barebones PDF of SINK later this week to all $1+ backers... and later this month, the Digital Deluxe rewards will be released shortly after the Kickstarter collection is complete.

Print Rewards On Track for June 

We'll have more to share on the progress toward the books going to print soon. We're excited to get these books in your hands.
