SINK #1: Welcome to Glasgow World Tour

Created by ComixTribe

Killer clowns in a blue van, shovel-wielding vigilantes, and the last bus you'd ever want to ride... You must be in Sinkhill. SINK is a series of offbeat, stand alone crime stories, all linked by one shared location: Sinkhill. A forgotten East End district of a warped funhouse mirror vision of Glasgow, Scotland, Sinkhill is a hive of crooks, deviants and killers, and ordinary folk unfortunate enough to live among them.

Latest Updates from Our Project:

OXYMORON Add-Ons from Lees and Cormack
about 7 years ago – Wed, Feb 22, 2017 at 10:56:38 PM

Pop-Quiz: What was the first book that featured the work of both SINK creators John Lees & Alex Cormack?

Those of you who have been ComixTribe diehards for the past five years probably know the answer.

OXYMORON Vol. 1 a hardcover anthology of stories featuring a serial killer obsessed with contradiction included a short written by John Lees as well as a short drawn by Alex Cormack.

To commemorate, we've just made the limited edition Alex Cormack cover of OXYMORON Volume 1 Oversized Hardcover available to this campaign as an add-on.

Only 150 copies of this cover were produced, and it features a chilling cover by Alex, as well as 10 awesome stories from creators including Joe Mulvey, Paul Allor, Ryan K Lindsay, Jason Ciaramella, Cesar Feliciano, and many, many more.

A few years later, John and Alex teamed up for real in the critically acclaimed series OXYMORON: The Loveliest Nightmare.

And we've just made the trade collection for The Loveliest Nightmare available as an add on as well.

The pitch for OXYMORON: The Loveliest Nightmare is essentially imagine The Joker came to a Gotham City WITHOUT a Batman to stop him.

It's a serial thriller crime thriller along the lines of Se7en and Hannibal, and if you dig what you've seen of SINK, you're going to love OXY.

If you'd like to check out the book before you upgrade your pledge, you can get the first issue of OXYMORON: The Loveliest Nightmare here.

Thanks again for your continued support as we keep climbing toward unlocking SINK #5!

And Then Bidding Starts At...
about 7 years ago – Tue, Feb 21, 2017 at 08:12:20 PM

Who wants to see new SINK art?

How cool is this piece drawn by Joe Mulvey (SCAM) and colored by SINK's Alex Cormack

This is a variant cover for SINK #4, and Joe has graciously donated the stunning original artwork for this piece to the SINK campaign.

So, here's what we're going to do...

We're going to do a 12 hour auction for this piece, available to SINK backers only.

If you'd like to own this Mulvey original art, simply leave a comment below with your top bid to receive this 11x17 piece of penciled and inked original art, plus an 11x17 full color print of the same piece.

Mulvey suggested we put the piece up as a pledge for $300.00, roughly his going rate for original art covers.

But, instead, we'll start the bidding at just +$25.

(Note: Backers outside the US will be asked to add an additional $15 for US shipping.)

Whoever has the highest bid for the piece in the comments below at 9PM EDT tonight will then be invited to add that amount to their pledge, and will then be sent the piece shortly after the campaign ends.

So, if you'd like to own a piece of SINK, leave a comment below.

Do I hear $25?

Your pal,

John Lees

P.S. Congrats to Brad Cole, Frank Pierson, and Pierre Martinez... all three are our latest winners of ComixTribe $50.00 prize packs of bonus comics!

A SINK Bedtime Story Just for You...
about 7 years ago – Wed, Feb 15, 2017 at 02:35:24 PM

Greetings, Sinkers!

I decided to try something new and wrote a SINK tale called "Bedtime" and did a live reading on Facebook last night.

Then, we cleaned it up a bit, added a little spooky music from the SINK soundtrack courtesy of Jaimie Fairlie, and here it is for all of you to enjoy...

Please let me know in the comments what you think and if you'd like more of this kind of thing.

3 Weeks to Go!

We're less than $400 away from unlocking this adorable Mr. Dig postcard, drawn by CP Wilson III, to add to the Sinkhill Visitors' Kit reward tiers:

And from there, it'll be just another $1000 until we hit that big $10K milestone and get a 5th issue added to the SINK series!

If you want to get exclusive packs of digital content for each of those issues way ahead of their direct market release, remember to add a series subscription upgrade to your pledge (+$24).

Today's Winner: Oliver L.!

Oliver is taking home a bonus prize pack of $50.00+ worth of ComixTribe goodies.

Be sure you've registered at ComixTribe.com/giveaway for your shot at winning one of these SINK bonuses.

Your pal,

John Lees

P.S. One more big announcement...

Tomorrow, Friday, February 10th, at 3pm EST (or 8pm for UK folk like me!), I'll be doing a live Q&A session with SINK artist Alex Cormack, right here on the SINK Kickstarter page and you're all invited!

During the live video, going out via Kickstarter Live, Alex and I will take you on a behind-the-scenes look into the making of SINK #1, then we'll take a little time to answer any questions you may have about the series.

Now, anyone in the world can watch the live stream, but backers who attend live will be eligible for yet another awesome ComixTribe bonus!

And if you can't make the livestream live, don't worry... because a recording of the livestream will be available right here on the SINK Kickstarter page for 48 hours after the event.

I look forward to seeing some of you on the Q&A tomorrow.  3pm EST... don't miss it!
